ALBION

Aiginition Longitudinal Biomarker Investigation Of Neurodegeneration

Description

The ALBION cohort is an ongoing prospective observational study of middle-aged and older adults designed to study the biological, lifestyle, and environmental determinants of cognitive aging and Alzheimer's disease. The study integrates comprehensive clinical, neuropsychological, lifestyle, and dietary assessments with multimodal biomarker assessments, including cerebrospinal fluid biomarkers, neuroimaging, and omics technologies. Participants undergo longitudinal follow-up to characterize trajectories of cognitive decline and neurodegenerative disease progression. The cohort aims to understand how environmental, lifestyle, and biological exposures interact to influence cognitive aging and Alzheimer's disease risk, supporting the identification of early biomarkers and opportunities for precision prevention.
